Maine Silent Film Festival 2027

The Maine Silent Film Festival returns this summer to the Alamo Theatre in Bucksport, Maine and will feature some of the films below.

Wednesday, July 21^st starting at 7:00pm

Epic Imports

Europe and especially Italy adopted feature films long before the U.S., where producers were opposed to films longer than a single reel. This program takes a look at some of those Italian epics that were among the first features imported into the U.S. It may contain any of these titles:

Spartacus (Pasquali, 1913) Quo Vadis? (Cines, 1912) The Odyssey (Milano, 1911)

Clothes Make the Man

The program tonight features several films in which the heroes save the day by disguising or impersonating someone else. Some of the films below will be included in the final lineup.
